Remote and hybrid teams
A team game for your next video call.
Share Crowdboard’s board in Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, and everyone buzzes in from their own phone, wherever they are. Two teams guess the most popular answers to survey questions, and a synced clock keeps the buzzers fair.
Free for up to 6 phones. No card needed.
How it works on a call
- 1
Share the board
Open the board in its own browser window on your computer, and share that window in the call. The host deck stays on your screen, out of sight.
- 2
Send the room code
Copy the join link from the host deck into the chat, or let people scan the code on the shared board. They type a name and pick a team.
- 3
Read the questions
You read each question aloud. Players buzz from their phones, and the first to buzz gets the first guess for their team.
Made for teams that meet on screen
Fair on every connection
A shared screen can run a second or two behind. Each buzz is timed on the phone against a synced clock, so the person who pressed first wins, not the one with the fastest video.
Everyone sees the board
Each phone shows the board as answers are found, so someone whose video freezes can still follow the game.
Nothing to install
Players need a phone with a web browser. No app, no player accounts and nothing to add to your video call.
Hybrid works too
Put the board on the meeting-room screen and share the same window in the call, so people in the room and at home play one game.
Teams that cross departments
Mix people who rarely work together. Guessing what “most people said” gets everyone talking.
Fits the agenda
A ready-made game takes from about 10 minutes for three quick rounds to 25 for a full offsite game with a Lightning Round.
Questions hosts ask
Which video call apps does it work with?
Any that can share a window or a screen: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex and others. Crowdboard runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to add to the call.
Do players need to be on camera?
No. They need the call’s sound to hear the questions, and a phone or another browser window to buzz from.
How many people can join?
Any number of people can watch and shout answers. Up to 6 phones can buzz in on Free, 20 on Pro and 40 on Team.
What if someone’s connection drops?
Their phone joins again by itself within a few seconds, with the same name and team.
Can we play in different time zones?
Everyone plays at the same moment on the call, so pick a time that suits the team. The clock that times the buzzers works the same wherever people are.
Can we write questions about our own team?
Yes. Write your own questions, or start from the survey questions and answers list.
